Our team have recently designed and manufactured wind turbine nacelles using Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) for superior strength, durability, and low weight. GRP’s corrosion resistance and design flexibility make it ideal for demanding environmental conditions.
A detailed CAD model and working drawings were produced by our design team which ensured precise fit, aerodynamic efficiency, and structural integrity. Using hand lay-up, we produced these smooth, weather-resistant nacelles with excellent stiffness-to-weight performance.

A Custom GRP Bimini Built for Adventure
A blast from the past, the Portafold Folding Caravan original brochure. Henleycraft was originally formed to market and sell the Portafold, which was predominantly made from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) commonly known as Fibreglass in the 1960’s and 70’s. They are still popular today and can be seen in their masses at vintage vehicle shows throughout the country.

This mobility scooter by Batricar was made up from five GRP components consisting of a main floor pan and an additional option of a cab to shelter from inclement weather. Famously able to navigate the extremely steep hill in Clovelly, Devon. These were produced in three standard colours to a high gloss finish.
These striking signs were reproduced with a stunning bronze effect to replace the original bronze signs that were either vandalised or stolen to be sold as scrap metal. By making them from GRP they have no scrap value and therefore remain in place.
Ford Zodiac and Zephyr Rear Hatchback GRP Door
This easy to clean hot drinks machine tray was manufactured with a striking black textured finish. Made from GRP, they were robust and less prone to scratches and splitting than other plastics. The machines were installed in petrol stations, convenience stores and other locations around the country.
This superb Louvred Roof feature was designed from a basic line drawing supplied by our customer in our CAD modelling software. Patterns and GRP Moulds of the louvred panels and roof were produced and then manufactured of GRP parts from these moulds, this was then assembled around a timber frame and sealed against water ingress. This structure was then delivered to site and craned in place.
This stylish Helm Seat was custom designed and produced for a customer, fully fitted out with lockable latch and hinges, which also doubles up as a useful storage box.
The Royal Enfield Plaque 500mm diameter, produced in Bronze Effect GRP, displays how versatile and impressive GRP can be when used in signage. Various other effects can be used, such as Rust Effect, to produce unusual and eye catching signs and plaques.
Very striking yellow GRP Security Boxes designed, manufactured and fully fitted out with hinges and lockable latch. The Security Boxes are very versatile, as they are strong, secure and waterproof. A useful addition to the workplace, home or any outside area, where space is limited, such as in the garden or on the terrace for storage of garden tools.
We are now able to supply a replacement roof for your Portafold Folding Caravan. We have spent a great deal of time on the Portafold project, to ensure the perfect fit and of course retaining the Portafold's very individual and now retro look. The sun is here to stay, so now is the perfect time to restore your folding caravan to its former glory (you know it deserves it) and get back on the open road!
