The GRP Mould Clamp was designed to aid the assembly of split moulds and to ensure their exact alignment. The composite industry has always suffered from a "that will do" approach to making moulds, consequently the finished component will ony be as good as the mould itself. Moulding in male and female location dowles then drilling and bolting the flanges together never gives good results. The GRP industry is a labour intensive industry so fumbling around with nuts, bolts and washers is not the best way to do things. Assembling a split mould that has GRP Mould Clamps is a quick process of inserting the bolts into the upper GRP Mould Clamp and winding them down with a cordless drill fitted with a socket attachment.
